Glyptic Liner Heat Sensing Cable 78°C / 172°F

The Glyptic Linear Heat Sensing (LHS) Cable Temperature of 78°C / 172°F is specifically designed to detect fire conditions in critical industrial applications. It features two twisted, tri-metallic conductors with exceptionally low conductor resistance, insulated and sheathed in advanced thermal polymers. These polymers are engineered to break down at a predetermined temperature, allowing the twisted conductors to make contact and trigger an alarm in the fire detection system. Choosing the optimal LHS cable for the fastest alarm response depends on the maximum ambient temperature of the hazardous area or equipment being protected.

APPLICATIONS:

  • Switchgear
  • Tunnels
  • Bridges
  • Cable spreading rooms
  • Terminal rooms
  • Floating roof tanks
  • Aircraft Hangers
  • In-rack freezer and cooler storage
  • Alarm and trouble resound
  • Elevator shafts
  • Cooling towers
  • Conveyors
  • Cable trays
  • Generators
  • Parking decks
  • Engine bays
  • In-cabinet
  • Motors

SPECIAL FEATURES:

  • Easy to install and low maintenance.
  • Economical, reliable and durable detection.
  • Minimal false alarms.
  • Detect heat anywhere along the entire length of cable.
  • Provides hazard coverage at every point on the cable for maximum protection.
